UiPath (PATH) has dropped about 25% from its late-August high, and the question is whether that is an opening or a warning. Its own history leans toward warning: most declines this size kept falling. What that history cannot see is a company that is profitable now, consolidating its biggest customers' automation onto one platform while its smallest ones leave.
Start with what those falls actually paid.
How Much Further UiPath Usually Falls First
Since 2021, UiPath has fallen 20% or more inside 30 trading days on 11 separate occasions. Of the 9 old enough to have a full year behind them, only 3 ended higher, and the median twelve-month return across those 9 was negative 14%.
Collecting even the good outcomes was expensive. Across all 11 falls the median best gain inside a year was 20%, reached after a median of about 172 calendar days. The median worst further decline along the way was 36%, and 8 of the 11 fell more than another 20% before recovering. Half a year of waiting through a further third off the price is what this stock charges. The current fall clears the same 20%-in-30-days bar as every one of those episodes, so the comparison holds.
PATH had 11 events since 4/21/2021 where the dip threshold of -20% within 30 days was triggered

UiPath Is Finally Profitable While You Wait
A history like that only matters if the business is worth waiting on. UiPath clears the basic checks. Revenue grew 15.0% over the trailing twelve months, and 21.7% of that revenue came through as operating cash flow. On $410 million of revenue in fiscal Q2 2027 management reported a fourth consecutive quarter of GAAP profitability and a 22% non-GAAP operating margin.
The complication is where that growth comes from. Management says attrition is concentrated among its smallest customers, while accounts paying more than $1 million a year rose 21% to 387. UiPath is winning where switching is hardest: the Department of War's clean audit initiative. The company has also expanded a partnership with Cognizant, which embeds Test Cloud into an outside testing service.
| Quality Metrics | Value | Quality Check |
|---|---|---|

| Revenue Growth (3-Yr Avg) | 14.5% | Pass |
| Operating Cash Flow Margin (LTM) | 21.7% | Pass |
UiPath's Reported Growth Cooled While Its Price Fell
The catch sits in the growth line, though only part of it is real. Reported revenue rose 13% year over year in fiscal Q2 2027, down from 17% in fiscal Q1 2027. Normalized for currency, growth was 16% against 15% a quarter earlier. Net new ARR was $37 million against $49 million in fiscal Q1 2027, though up from $31 million a year earlier.
Even after the pullback the price is undemanding, and it is still up 21.9% over the trailing twelve months. The next real evidence comes with the report expected on or around December 1, 2026, and net new ARR is the line to watch.
