City of Glendale Announces New Civic Center Operating Schedule Beginning July 3

Glendale, CA - The City of Glendale will remain open for business five days a week, continuing to serve residents, businesses, and visitors while implementing new Civic Center operating hours designed to reduce operating costs and maintain access to City services. Unlike some local government agencies in Los Angeles County that have suspended Friday operations entirely, Glendale's approach keeps City operations available five days a week through in-person service Monday through Thursday and remote access on Fridays.

Beginning Friday, July 3, 2026, in-person public counter service at Civic Center offices located at 613 E. Broadway, 633 E. Broadway, and 141 N. Glendale Avenue will be available Monday through Thursday during regular business hours. On Fridays, many City services will continue to be accessible online and by phone, ensuring the public can still conduct City business without needing to visit City Hall.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to use the City's online portals and phone-based services on Fridays. These same convenient options are also available throughout the week for those who want to save a trip to City Hall, avoid waiting in line, or complete routine City business from home, work, or on the go.

The City remains committed to providing responsive, reliable, and accessible service to the Glendale community while responsibly managing operating costs. Residents planning to visit Civic Center facilities are encouraged to review department hours and available service options before arriving. Information regarding the schedule change, affected facilities, available services, and frequently asked questions is available at GlendaleCA.gov/ContactUs.
