HydroCharge Approved for Eligibility Under California CORE Incentive Program ($260,000 Base Voucher)

Clean, mobile power is needed now across logistics and industrial operations as organizations work to electrify fleets, power EV charging infrastructure, and reduce emissions. Yet for many companies, the biggest barrier to adoption isn't technology, it's the upfront cost and lack of infrastructure.

That's where policy and incentives play an increasingly important role.

Programs like the Clean Off-Road Equipment (CORE) Voucher Incentive Project are directly reducing the cost of clean technologies to help accelerate adoption of zero-emission equipment. That's why we secured CORE approval: to advance practical, scalable hydrogen power solutions by making it more accessible and economically viable.

Nuvera® HydroCharge™ HC50C has officially been approved as eligible under the CORE program, making it eligible for consideration a base voucher of $260,000 per unit subject to program requirements, funding availability and final approval by the program administrator. HydroCharge delivers portable, reliable zero-emission power, supporting applications such as EV charging and electrified equipment operations in environments where the grid can't keep up. For organizations navigating the transition to cleaner operations, this approval opens the door to significant cost savings.

How Incentives Are Changing the Economics of Clean Energy

Government incentives are designed to overcome the higher upfront costs associated with new technologies. The CORE program offers point-of-sale voucher incentives that when approved are applied directly at the time of purchase. Instead of waiting, organizations can see the cost reduction immediately.

That's a game-changer for qualifying organizations particularly for warehouses, ports, and logistics hubs racing the clock to meet emissions goals. These are sectors where diesel-powered equipment has traditionally been the standard, but also where clean alternatives are becoming increasingly viable.

In many cases, CORE is only part of the opportunity.

Organizations may also be eligible to combine the CORE incentive with other programs such as the Federal 48E Clean Electricity Investment Tax Credit, which supports investments in zero-emission technologies. When incentives are successfully applied, upfront costs can be significantly reduced, making clean energy adoption more practical.

Planning Ahead is Key

While incentives can make a meaningful difference, they are often competitive and limited in availability. CORE is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's critical to begin planning early. Understanding eligibility requirements and working with experienced partners can help organizations better position themselves to identify, pursue, and maximize available incentive opportunities.

We work with customers to help navigate the incentive landscape and identify opportunities to deploy solutions like HydroCharge. Behind the scenes, powering those productions often requires something less glamorous: diesel.
