Multifamily finance veteran strengthens the firm's debt capabilities across key growth markets nationwide.
New York, NY - September 14, 2026 - Lument announced today that Israel Leiner has joined its Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team as a managing director. Based in New Jersey, Leiner will originate debt and preferred equity financing solutions for commercial real estate clients nationwide. He reports to Rick Warren, senior managing director and head of real estate capital markets at Lument.
"As borrowers seek creative financing solutions in an increasingly complex market, Israel brings a strong track record of execution and a client-first mindset. We are thrilled to bring him on board to further bolster our platform," said Warren. "His track record in New York-New Jersey and his established business in key growth markets such as the Philadelphia metro area, Atlanta, and other Sunbelt markets further strengthen our ability to serve."
Prior to joining Lument, Leiner served as a managing director, capital markets, with Walker & Dunlop. Before that, he was vice president at Meridian Capital Group. Throughout his career, he has closed more than 200 loans totaling over $2 billion in financing. His expertise spans construction, bridge, and permanent financing across apartment, office, and retail assets, with multifamily transactions accounting for most of his production. He also brings extensive experience sourcing capital from banks, debt funds, life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, and private capital providers.
"What attracted me to Lument is how well the platform aligns with the clients and transactions I've spent my career serving," said Leiner. "With access to a wide range of capital sources and the ability to tailor solutions across the capital stack, Lument is well positioned to help borrowers navigate a complex market. I'm excited to join a team that is continuing to invest in growth and expand what's possible for its clients."
Lument's DCM platform provides borrowers with access to debt and preferred equity solutions from a wide range of capital sources, including banks, debt funds, life companies, conduits, and Lument's proprietary capital. Lument has completed over $1.9 billion in debt placement volume since launching its DCM platform in 2024.
