Netflix has announced today the premiere date and first images from I'm still a Superestar , a documentary exploring the Tamarism phenomenon, featuring for the first time the most intimate testimony of singer Yurena and all the characters who challenged the system and took over television at the time. The documentary will premiere exclusively on Netflix on July 18, the same day as the release of the series Superestar .

I'm still a Superestar is a nostalgic, wild, and touching portrait of a one-of-a-kind singer who stirred up a media frenzy in the early 2000s. The documentary tells the story of Yurena's artistic beginnings - known back then as Tamara - and the entire phenomenon that turned her into a true pop icon at the start of the 2000s, following the release of her hit song No cambié and her subsequent album Superestar . With the upcoming launch of the Superestar series on Netflix, many will wonder what really happened during that time, and what has become of Yurena, Leonardo Dantés, Tony Genil, Loly Álvarez, Paco Porras, or Arlequín today.

In addition to all the protagonists of the popular phenomenon known as Tamarism, several cultural and television figures have also participated in the documentary, along with numerous journalists and experts from that era.

This new documentary, produced by Suma Content, is directed by Marc Pujolar and features Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo as project producers. The screenplay was written by Marc Pujolar and María Zuil.
