The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority welcomed Trent Morse on January 21, 2026, to its board of directors for a six-year term. Morse is a federal appointee of President Donald J. Trump.
Morse is the founder of Morse Strategies consulting firm and serves as a senior strategic advisor to Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, a law firm located in Washington, D.C. Morse has extensive political and governmental experience, having served as deputy assistant to President Trump and deputy director of presidential personnel, where he worked closely with the administration to recruit more than 3,000 staffers.
Morse held positions in the government including White House liaison at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, senior policy advisor to the deputy secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and special assistant at the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Before coming to Washington, Morse held roles with the Florida Department of Transportation and a transportation and infrastructure holding company, where he worked in corporate development.
Morse is a graduate of Florida State University and Florida State College of Law. He also serves as a board member for the U.S. Department of Transportation Advisory Board.
The Airports Authority's 17-member board is comprised of seven appointees by the governor of Virginia; four by the mayor of Washington, D.C.; three by the governor of Maryland and three by the president of the United States.
