President’s Prayer Walk marks the beginning of a new academic year

Before students returned to campus for the fall semester, Fresno Pacific University faculty and staff gathered together on August 10 to cover the campus in prayer.

Dozens of individuals joined FPU President André Stephens, Ph.D. and walked the campus, pausing to pray for students, faculty, staff and the university's various departments. Throughout the walk, participants also prayed for FPU's regional campuses, athletic teams, faculty, staff and the year ahead.

"This is a meaningful way to dedicate the year ahead to the Lord," said Stephens. "It's a chance to intercede for His guidance, protection and blessing on our work."

The gathering reflects Fresno Pacific's commitment to its Christ-centered mission and to covering every area of university life in prayer.
