Motor Vehicle Theft
Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at approximately 7:26 a.m. Peoria Police responded to the 1200 block of N. University on a report of a stolen vehicle.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the vehicle's owner, who was able to track the stolen vehicle.
During the course of the investigation, police located the abandoned vehicle in the 1400 block of N. Glenwood Avenue. Officers also recovered two more stolen vehicles at the same location.
During a search of the area, officers observed a male juvenile (16 years old) who matched the description of one of the suspects. Police were unable to locate the other two suspects.
The juvenile was arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
This incident remains under investigation.
