Workshop: Time Management Principles, Nov. 14

Work, family and personal life responsibilities can feel overwhelming, and it sometimes seems as if a 24-hour day simply is not long enough to get everything done. Unfortunately, no one has yet found a way to add a 25th hour to the day, so everyone is forced to do the best with the time they have. By following the principles discussed in this workshop, participants may still never get everything done, but they should feel more in control of their very busy life.

Workshop Objectives

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how to change "negative self talk" as it relates to their time
    • Identify ways of thinking that can make their time management problems worse
    • Identify ways of thinking that put them in greater control of your day
  • Identify where they spend their time currently
    • Identify any "time wasters" that exist in their life today
    • Describe how they can replace the time wasters with more productive activities.
  • Describe how prioritization principles can be applied to their day and their life
    • Identify the relative importance of tasks and responsibilities that make them feel overwhelmed
    • Identify the relative urgency of tasks and responsibilities that make them feel overwhelmed
