De Jong holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. Before joining Northwest Bank, Dale served as a mortgage loan originator at Bank Iowa in Johnston, IA.

Dale and his wife Jenna and son Frederick reside in Johnston. He enjoys serving the community and is currently the co-chair of Johnston Green Days, active participant in local Chambers of Commerce, and Connector for the Urbandale Chamber. He and his wife, Jenna, welcomed their son, Frederick, in May and are enjoying this exciting new chapter as a family.
