Keepsake Trading Cards San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives Include New Ultimate OZ Universe Collection

Trading cards have become one of the fastest-growing corners of fandom collecting, and few companies are embracing that space quite like Keepsake Trading Cards. Follow the yellow brick road to Keepsake, where the company is debuting the first-ever "Ultimate OZ Universe" trading card collection. The cards celebrate AWA's modern, canon-faithful continuation of L. Frank Baum's original Oz novels, created in collaboration with ShaggyMan Productions and Alchemation.

Building on the story introduced in The Lost Lands, the upcoming Into the Outerlands follows Dorothy and Princess Ozma on parallel journeys as ancient evils threaten the future of Oz, expanding the world far beyond the familiar Yellow Brick Road.

Launching exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con, each $30 box includes one guaranteed encased Signagraph card featuring characters like Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, Glinda, and more. The complete base set consists of 20 cards, with every card in the collection individually numbered to 50 copies or fewer.

Fans will also have a chance to meet legendary artist Mike Deodato, who will sign at Booth #135 on Friday, July 24, from 1pm-2pm. The first 35 collectors to purchase a box on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of the convention will be entered for the opportunity to receive one of the first-ever signed "Ultimate OZ Universe" trading cards.

Our San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Countdown continues with another collectible fans will want to add to their shopping list. Premium trading card manufacturer Keepsake Trading Cards is heading to Comic-Con with the first-ever official trading cards based on the Ultimate OZ Universe, and they're only available to attendees at this year's convention.

For collectors of limited-edition cards and fans of modern fantasy, this exclusive release is shaping up to be one of SDCC's hidden gems.

The First Official Ultimate OZ Universe Trading Cards

Available exclusively at Keepsake Trading Cards Booth #135, the convention-exclusive set marks the first official trading cards inspired by the Ultimate OZ Universe, a modern continuation of L. Frank Baum's classic Oz mythology.

Developed by AWA, in collaboration with ShaggyMan Productions and Alchemation, the Ultimate OZ Universe expands the legendary world beyond the familiar Yellow Brick Road while remaining faithful to Baum's original novels.

The cards arrive just ahead of the August 25 release of Ultimate OZ Universe: Into the Outerlands, the second volume in the expanding fantasy saga.

A Limited SDCC Exclusive

Unlike many convention exclusives that eventually find their way online, this release is being billed as a true Comic-Con exclusive.

The product will only be sold at Booth #135 during San Diego Comic-Con and will not be available through retail stores or online after the event.

Each $30 box includes:

• One guaranteed encased Signagraph card
• A chance to collect fan-favorite characters including Dorothy, the Lion, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, Glinda, Jack Pumpkinhead, Mombi, H.M. Wogglebug T.E., the Hungry Tiger, and more
• A 20-card base set
• Every card individually numbered to 50 copies or fewer

The limited print run is likely to make these cards especially appealing to collectors searching for rare Comic-Con exclusives.

Meet Legendary Artist Mike Deodato

Fans will also have an opportunity to meet acclaimed comic book artist Mike Deodato during an exclusive signing event on Friday, July 24, at 1:00 p.m. at Booth #135.

Access to the signing is limited.

The first 50 collectors who purchase a box on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday will be entered for the opportunity to participate in the signing and receive what Keepsake describes as the first-ever signed Ultimate OZ Universe trading cards.

Given Deodato's long career illustrating some of comics' biggest heroes and franchises, the signing is expected to be a major draw for both comic and trading card collectors.

A Growing World Beyond the Yellow Brick Road

The trading cards also offer fans an early introduction to the expanding Ultimate OZ Universe.

The upcoming Into the Outerlands continues the story established in The Lost Lands, following Dorothy and Princess Ozma on separate journeys that gradually converge as ancient threats emerge across Oz. The series aims to honor Baum's original mythology while exploring new characters, kingdoms, and adventures beyond the classic tales.

The cards serve as both collectibles and a showcase for the world-building behind the growing franchise.
