Parking Rate Changes Coming August 1

Starting August 1, parking rates for on-street parking and select City of Raleigh parking facilities will change. These are the first major parking rate updates since 2018 and were approved by City Council as part of the FY2027 budget.

Money collected from parking is reinvested into Raleigh's parking system. It helps pay for garage maintenance, lighting, security, technology upgrades, signage, and other improvements that keep parking facilities safe, reliable, and easy to use.

The good news? The City's popular free two-hour parking program at participating downtown parking decks isn't going away.

We'll share more information soon, including the new parking rates, affected parking locations, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Keep an eye on City of Raleigh News for more updates in the coming weeks!
