Weekend Lane Closures on I-285 near Tucker for Concrete Rehabilitation
METRO ATLANTA -Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will install lane closures on Interstate 285 (I-285) near the City of Tucker in DeKalb County. this weekend as a concrete rehabilitation project continues on I-285 between Henderson Mill Road and State Road 8/ Lawrenceville Highway (SR 8) The concrete rehabilitation will repair the deteriorating condition of the roadway.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, two right lanes will be closed on I-285 southbound and northbound from Northlake Parkway to Lawrenceville Highway from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 9 until 5 a.m. on Saturday.
This project is scheduled for completion in summer 2025 at a cost of $4.7 million.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours.
