Celebrate the reopening of Kiwanis Park north

Celebrate the reopening of the Kiwanis Park north play area with a free Arts in the Parks event, featuring a ribbon cutting, live music, food trucks, arts activities and the Tempe Play Mobile.

  • 5233 S. Ash Ave.

Meet artist Bobby Zokaites, who designed the park's climbable public art sculpture, and enjoy the park improvements, which include:

  • Total renovation and expansion of the existing playground with all new equipment and accessible rubber surfacing
  • New large group ramada
  • Climbable public art sculpture
  • New shade structures
  • Additional new trees and landscape
  • Irrigation upgrades
  • New restroom and concession building
  • Improved accessible parking and ramps

Enjoy a watercolor art project facilitated by local artist Kyllan Maney and a Bag Charm art activity facilitated by local artists Megan Hennessy .
