Rep. Matt Reeves Receives Philanthropic Freedom Award

ATLANTA - State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) recently received the Champion of Philanthropic Freedom Award from the Philanthropy Roundtable for his work on Senate Bill 414 in 2024. SB 414 protects nonprofit donors from compelled disclosure by governmental entities in Georgia, with limited exceptions for crime, fraud and political contributions.

"This legislation promotes charitable giving and abundant resources for Georgians in need by allowing charitable donors and recipient nonprofits, and not the government, from disclosing charitable donations," said Rep. Reeves. "I am honored to be recognized by the Philanthropy Roundtable for working on this important legislation."
