A new partnership with ESSA

A new partnership with ESSA

Mar 2, 2026

Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) and Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) are excited to announce a new partnership, joining forces to expand our reach and better uplift members and the wider community through multidisciplinary collaboration, learning, and connection.

As part of our efforts to reach this goal, SMA is offering courses to ESSA members at a special discounted rate. Check your member portal for more information on how to access the offer.

Both SMA and ESSA have a shared purpose: Equipping our members with the knowledge and confidence that comes from accessible, high-quality training and CPD opportunities. By making First Aid, CPR, and Mental Health First Aid easier to access for ESSA members, we're removing barriers while helping them to respond when it matters most. We're genuinely excited to be working together with ESSA on this.
SMA CEO, Jamie Crain

We are proud to partner with Sports Medicine Australia in delivering accessible, practical and nationally recognised training for ESSA members. This collaboration reflects ESSA's commitment to creating meaningful value for our members through ensuring access to the skills, tools and support they need to succeed. We look forward to building on this collaboration with SMA, and exploring further opportunities that create lasting value for ESSA members.
ESSA Interim CEO, Katie Lyndon

Working together, we aim to expand access to accredited, evidence-based courses delivered by professionals who share a passion for sport and exercise. We also look forward to developing community initiatives that advance our shared purpose and create a greater impact on the communities we serve.
