Hog farmers brace for another tough year

Consumption trends and export origins for pork around the globe have shifted in recent years, especially as Europe moves away from sending pork abroad and Brazil works to fill the gap.

At the same time, U.S. hog producers are seeing continued growth in exports, especially to Mexico, which now consumes about 10% of the pork produced in the U.S.
