Budrys to attend Miami Security Forum

On March 18-20, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, is paying a working visit to the United States of America. During the visit, the Minister will attend the Miami Security Forum, meet with the U.S. and Latin American policy makers, representatives of NGOs and businesses, Cuban opposition leaders, and human rights defenders.

The visit to Miami will focus on Latin American cooperation with transatlantic partners and the fight against global security challenges. Lithuania's head of diplomacy will deliver an address at the forum discussion on strengthening cooperation between Western Hemisphere nations, the U.S., and European partners, titled "Leveraging Extra-Hemispheric Partners and Allies in the Americas". On the sidelines of the event, the Minister will also address a roundtable discussion on Lithuania's experience in strengthening resilience in countering Russian hybrid attacks and Chinese economic coercion.

The Miami Security Forum is an annual event of The Heritage Foundation, the U.S. think tank, which convenes leading policymakers, national security and defense experts, and private sector executives to discuss the main security challenges facing the Western Hemisphere and the Euro-Atlantic area.
