Civic Dialogues: Declarations of Independence, March 26

Join the Civic Dialogues Program and the Les Aspin Center for Government for a discussion on the promise and shortcomings of the nation's founding document, the Declaration of Independence.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m. in the Sensenbrenner Hall Reading Room. Register online.

The conversation will explore the contradictory ways the document reflects both the best and worst aspects of the American political tradition. Pizza will be provided.

The Civic Dialogues Program empowers students to engage in open, respectful and solution-driven discussions on today's most pressing issues.

The program creates space for students to engage across differences, broaden perspectives and uncover shared solutions to complex societal challenges, helping develop leaders who can bridge divides, build trust and inspire action in their communities.
