Monday, January 20, 12:00 EST: Health Effects of Heatwaves and Air Pollution

Dr. Mary Berlik Rice, Director, Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, joins Tom Cosgrove, Chief Creative and Content Officer at EARTHDAY.ORG, to discuss how renewable energy can improve human health by reducing the harmful effects of air pollution caused by burning fossil fuels.

"Burning fossil fuels releases air pollutants that include really tiny invisible combustion particles that suspend in the air. And these pollutants are inhaled deep into the lung. And that's where they cause problems." Dr. Mary Rice, Director, Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Tuesday, January 21, 12:00 EST: The Green Gold Rush

Francesco La Camera, Director General, IRENA, (International Renewable Energy Agency) joins Kathleen Rogers, President of EARTHDAY.ORG for a conversation on the global renewable energy industry and how it has grown exponentially in the last decade.

"Renewables-based energy transitions can be a powerful equalizer in the world", Francesco La Camera, IRENA

Wednesday, January 22, 12.00 EST: Navigating the Green Tide in the UK

Mungo Woodifield, Minister Counsellor for Trade and Global Issues at the British Embassy to the United States, joins Kathleen Rogers, President of EARTHDAY.ORG, for a discussion on the UK's investment in renewable energy. They will explore its impact on the British economy, as well as the critical role climate education plays in advancing the renewable energy transition by green-skilling the future workforce.

Thursday, January 23, 12.00 EST: Wired for the Future

Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Stanford University talks with Saul Griffith, Engineer, Entrepreneur, Founder Rewiring America and Rewiring Australia, about the latest renewable energy technologies and their role in powering data and technology companies in the future.

"Everything is going in the right direction for climate in terms of cost trends and technology. The real problem seems that we haven't told a better story about a more abundant future than the fossil alternative. Let's Make Electrification Great Again. MEGA." Saul Griffith

"We have virtually all the technologies we need to solve the climate, air pollution, and energy-security problems facing the world. We do not need "miracle technologies" to solve these problems. The key is to electrify everything and deploy, deploy, deploy clean, renewable electricity and storage as fast as possible. This will not only address these problems but also create jobs, save consumers money, and use no more land than the current energy infrastructure." Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Stanford University

Friday January 24, 12:00, EST: Bright Horizons: Solar's Impact on the U.S. Grid

Abigail Ross Hopper, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association, is widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in the U.S. solar and storage industry. In this episode, Hopper joins Aidan Charron, Associate Director of Global Earth Day at EARTHDAY.ORG, to explore the rapid growth of solar capacity across the United States. Together, they will discuss the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead as this critical industry continues to expand.

"Domestic solar manufacturing has grown five-fold under pro-business federal clean energy policies. At full capacity, U.S. solar module factories can produce enough to meet nearly all demand for solar in the United States." Abby Hopper, SEIA
