FARNBOROUGH, U.K. - July 22, 2026 - GE Aerospace announced today that ITA Airways has signed an agreement to implement Fuel Insight and FlightPulse, two GE Aerospace, Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions designed to help airlines turn data into actionable insight. The announcement was marked by a signing at the Farnborough International Airshow.
Amid persistent fuel-cost pressure, airlines are turning to analytics to better understand drivers and make more informed choices. With Fuel Insight and FlightPulse, ITA Airways will be able to align operational insights with pilot decision-making to help deliver improvements in fuel efficiency and performance more consistently on every flight.
"Fuel is one of the aviation industry's most significant cost points but also represents one of the biggest opportunities for improvement with the right insights to inform flight operations", said Andrew Coleman, President and General Manager, GE Aerospace, Software as a Service. "By adopting Fuel Insight and FlightPulse, ITA Airways is strengthening its ability to make data driven decisions, from understanding performance drivers to identifying opportunities and tracking progress. We're excited to support ITA's teams with software purpose-built for their airline operations".
Fuel Insight is a fuel analytics solution that supports airlines in monitoring fuel performance and acting on insights across teams such as flight operations, dispatch, and fuel management. Fuel Insight also works with GE Aerospace's EMS, providing an added layer of connectivity between analytics and airline workflows.
FlightPulse® extends GE Aerospace's analytics capabilities by enabling airlines to use flight data to better understand patterns, trends, and opportunities that can support day-to-day decision-making. Together, Fuel Insight and FlightPulse help teams move from data collection to data-driven action by delivering accessible insights that can be used to inform priorities and measure progress. Across GE Aerospace, SaaS deployments, FlightPulse and Fuel solutions have been associated with approximately 15% higher adoption of fuel-saving procedures and approximately 20% higher success rates for sustainability procedures. In the first year of use, programs have averaged about 5.71M CO2 emissions avoided and 1.88M kg of fuel saved.
The signing at Farnborough reflects continued momentum for GE Aerospace, SaaS solutions across Europe, helping airlines apply analytics to fuel and flight data to support smarter decision-making. Being associated with the uniqueness of ITA Airways and its recognizability in the skies around the world is a source of great honor.
