“Be Curious, Courageous and Connected”: Marriott Highlights Culture and Leadership at the Great Place to Work For All Summit

Marriott International took the main stage at this year's Great Place to Work® For All Summit, joining more than 1,500 leaders from over 500 companies for global conversations on culture, leadership, and the future of work. The Summit brought together Marriott leaders, HR partners, and Associate Resource Group members, highlighting the collaboration that elevates Marriott's people-first culture worldwide.

A highlight of the event was the main stage fireside chat between Anthony G. Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International, and Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. Their conversation focused on the enduring power of values-driven leadership and the role human connection plays in shaping great workplaces in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.

During the discussion, Tony reinforced that while technology is helping create capacity and drive efficiency, hospitality remains fundamentally about human connection. He shared a reflection from Marriott International's Chairman Emeritus, Bill Marriott:

"If we do our jobs well, we have the privilege of being woven into the fabric of people's lives."

- Bill Marriott, Marriott International's Chairman Emeritus

That belief, Tony noted, continues to guide how Marriott invests in its associates, empowering them with tools, training, and continuous coaching so they can deliver the warmth and care that defines the guest experience. Tony spoke to Marriott's people brand Be, and the company's focus on growing great leaders by being curious, courageous, and connected.

Marriott's people-first culture is further underscored by its standing on this year's Great Place to Work® rankings. Marriott has participated in Great Place to Work® since 1998 and continues to expand global participation, with associates across 65 countries. The company is currently ranked No. 5 on the World's Best Workplaces™ list, No. 7 on the U.S. Best Workplaces™ list and recognized as a top 10 employer in over a dozen countries, reflecting strong associate trust and engagement across the organization. That recognition reflects Marriott's long-standing commitment to taking care of associates.

"For nearly 100 years, putting people first has been at the heart of who we are. Our core values guide how we lead, how we support our associates, and how we create opportunity for growth at every level of the organization."

- Ty Breland, CHRO & EVP, Global Operations Services, Marriott International

As the Summit concluded, Great Place to Work announced that Marriott will host next year's Great Place to Work® For All Summit in Atlanta, marking an exciting milestone as the company approaches its centennial year.

Marriott's focus on being a Great Place to Work has defined the company for nearly 100 years: a commitment to leading with care, growing great leaders, and creating opportunity - one associate at a time.
