WASHINGTON D.C. - Dr. Steven McGuire, the Paul & Karen Levy Fellow in Campus Freedom at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA), will participate in the fifth annual Campus Free Speech Roundtable hosted by Congressman Greg Murphy. The roundtable is scheduled for Friday, December 12, at 8:00 a.m. and will be livestreamed. Dr. McGuire will discuss his work leading the Campus Freedom Initiativeā¢, which assesses the state of free expression at universities nationwide. Topics to be highlighted during the roundtable include the status of free speech and civil rights in American higher education, DEI initiatives and counter-initiatives, efforts by outside organizations to promote free speech and expose First Amendment abuses, the important role played by alumni networks, and more.
