Annual compliance training courses are available for faculty and staff to complete.
"As part of our ongoing commitment to provide a supportive workplace and foster professional growth and student success, all faculty, staff and student employees are required to complete their compliance training each year," said Sheri Copanic, associate vice president for risk management and chief risk officer.
The deadline to complete the required courses is Friday, May 30, 2025. The online courses for 2025 include:
• The Ohio Ethics Law: Building a Culture of Integrity - to be completed annually by all faculty and staff. This training was developed by the Ohio Ethics Commission and is embedded into the Vector learning management system.
• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act - to be completed annually by all Health Science Campus employees, individuals who work with patients and employees who work in clinical areas on Main Campus, as guided by UToledo procedures.
• Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse - to be completed annually by all Health Science Campus employees, individuals who work with patients and employees who work in clinical areas on Main Campus, as guided by UToledo procedures.
Employees can access their assigned online trainings by logging in with their UTAD credentials. Employees will also receive enrollment notifications and email reminders from the training provider, Vector Solutions.
Allow about one hour to complete each course. Training may take more or less time depending on an individual's pace. While the courses function in all web browsers, it is recommended to use up-to-date Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
