State Route 162 Oroville Rehabilitation Project Construction Schedule

Upcoming Traffic Impacts for the Week of May 3
OROVILLE - Caltrans is alerting motorists to upcoming construction activities on State Route 162 (SR 162) in Oroville as work continues for the rehabilitation project.
Scheduled Work Activities
Night Work: Sunday, May 3, through Thursday, May 7, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Crews will continue electrical and infrastructure work throughout the corridor, including conduit installation, traffic box work, and lighting system modifications along SR 162, Feather River Boulevard, and Spencer Avenue. Traffic control will be in place during nighttime operations.

Daytime Work: Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Construction activities will occur near the SR 70 northbound and southbound ramps. During this daytime work, there will be no traffic control needed.

This work is part of a project to rehabilitate pavement, improve drainage systems, upgrade guardrail and signage, and enhance pedestrian accessibility along the corridor through Oroville.
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to "Be Work Zone Alert" and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
