Francisco Garcia Yepez, the facility scheduling coordinator for the Facilities Operation and Maintenance departments, is the 2026 Outstanding Classified Employee of the Year, the Association of Classified Employees announced.
The honor is awarded to classified employees who have displayed a deep and sincere commitment to the quality of their work. It's an award that is earned by those who have chosen to go above and beyond, and who are true examples of the very best the classified staff at Boise State has to offer.
Garcia Yepez plays a critical role in keeping campus operations running smoothly. He coordinates maintenance and repair requests across Boise State, ensuring issues are handled efficiently and thoroughly.
He is dependable, organized and someone people trust to follow through, his nominators said, adding it's consistency, care and commitment that truly set him apart.
Beyond his role, Garcia Yepez also serves on the university's sign committee, helping create a campus that is welcoming, cohesive and easy to navigate.
