The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev held negotiations and meetings in Ottawa and Toronto, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States, engaging with representatives of government institutions, business circles, and the Uzbek diaspora.

A central component of the visit was the negotiations held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada. During the meeting, both sides noted the steady positive dynamics in bilateral relations and reaffirmed their mutual interest in further deepening them.

The Canadian side confirmed its readiness to intensify cooperation on regional and international agendas and supported the expansion of collaboration in interparliamentary, trade, economic, investment, and other areas.

Substantive and constructive meeting was held at the Ministry of Employment and Social Development of Canada, during which opportunities for establishing cooperation in the field of consular and legal activities were thoroughly discussed.

An important part of the visit included events in Toronto with the participation of business representatives and the Uzbek diaspora. Discussions also focused on key issues faced by Uzbek citizens living in Canada and explored ways to address them. The significance of holding a compatriots forum was highlighted as an important platform for strengthening intergenerational ties and promoting educational initiatives aimed at preserving the native language and national traditions among the youth.
