Leaf Recycling in Nampa Begins October 6

Nampa Parks & Recreation invites Nampa citizens to participate in its annual leaf recycling program, transforming fallen leaves into valuable mulch for the city's parks. Residents can drop off loose leaves at Nampa's Kohlerlawn Cemetery, located at 76 6th Street North, on weekdays October 6 through December 12, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Leaf recycling will also be accepted on Saturdays from November 8 to December 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This initiative not only helps residents manage yard waste but also contributes to the health and sustainability of Nampa's green spaces. The collected leaves are recycled into mulch, which is then used in parks and placed around tree wells to help retain moisture. This process conserves water and enriches the soil, benefiting the city's trees and landscape.

Important Guidelines:

  • Follow the signs posted on Weamer Lane, adjacent to 6th Street North, to the designated drop-off area. Please do not drop off leaves at the cemetery office.
  • Only loose leaves will be accepted. No bags or other non-recyclable materials.
  • Tree limbs and brush are not allowed.
  • This service is for Nampa citizens only and is not available to commercial landscaping contractors.
