China: General Principles for Foods for Special Medical Purposes Revised
On September 2, 2025, China published a revised national food safety standard for foods for special medical purposes, which is set to take effect on September 2, 2027. On March 18, 2026, SAMR released a Q&A on product registration under the revised standard to clarify compliance requirements.
