Senator Warren to Trump Administration: Release January Jobs Report As Soon as Possible

Warren also calls on Administration to immediately resume its collection of February inflation data

Washington, D.C. - Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee released the following statement:

"The Trump Administration delayed the January Jobs Report because of a partial government shutdown that was expected to end days before the report's scheduled release. The data has already been collected, so there is no excuse for the Administration not to release the report as soon as possible. The Administration should also immediately resume its collection of February inflation data."

"Donald Trump's reckless economic policies are hammering the job market and driving up prices for families. Policymakers and financial markets who rely on this data should not have to wait longer simply because House Republicans were unwilling to come to work over the weekend to avert the partial shutdown."
