1st Avenue to close between Broad and Main

Starting Thursday, October 10th, 1st Avenue will be closed between Broad and Main Streets to allow Con-Struct to replace the water main between two wells and the water treatment plant. This closure could take up to ten days. A detour will be posted. Residents of Watertower Square will be able to access their parking from the parking lot entrance on Main Street. Water service to the area should not be affected.

As part of the project, driveways and sidewalks will need to be temporarily removed. Both the City and Con-Struct are prioritizing replacing and making driveways accessible as soon as possible after the pipe is laid. Please use alleys for parking during construction. If your residence is directly affected, you will have already received individual notice.
