Another major Hollywood production wraps shooting at Buffalo Film Works

What do Jim Gaffigan, Jason Schwartzman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Paul Sparks, Paul Fitzgerlad, Asa Germann, William Sadler, Dylan Baker and Becky Ann Baker have in common?

They were all in Buffalo recently to film New England Toys, the latest major Hollywood film to be filmed at Buffalo FilmWorks. Check out the Deadline article on that film here.

The WNY Impact Investment Fund's $750,000 investment in Buffalo FilmWorks in 2022 drove the completion of Sound Stage Four, one of the largest production soundstage in the U.S. Buffalo FilmWorks survived through Hollywood strikes and New York state incentive issues.

The company is at the center of an emerging industry in Buffalo, buoyed by lucrative New York state tax incentives, a strong supply chain of production workers and contractors, and a diverse architectural legacy that supports different kinds of films.

"Our investment in Buffalo FilmWorks was about providing catalytic capital to an emerging entrepreneur who is introducing a new industry to Buffalo," WNY Impact Investment Fund CEO Tom Quinn said. "Buffalo Filmworks has brought a 120,000-square-foot facility back online, created meaningful jobs and is now a popular destination for firms looking to do film production in Western New York."
