Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia Jiang Xiaoyan Attends Chinese Spring Festival Cultural Event

On 24 February 2026, H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan attended Chinese Spring Festival cultural event jointly held by the Embassy, the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, and "NOVA" International School. 

Ambassador Jiang noted that the Spring Festival embodies the profound love for family and country shared by Chinese people, and carries values of honoring ancestors, wishing for a better new year, and respecting nature. It is one of the world's oldest continuously celebrated events with the largest number of participants. As "Chinese red" lights up the new year, the trend of "Chinamaxxing" getting viral online, the Spring Festival has become a shared cultural symbol and bond for people around the world. 

Young diplomats from the Embassy introduced Spring Festival customs, and volunteers from the Confucius Institute showcased Chinese traditional performances.
