(MIAMI, April 7, 2025) - On April 7, officials from Miami International Airport and low-cost carrier Volaris celebrated the airline's inaugural flight from MIA to Monterrey with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Monterrey joins Mexico City and Guadalajara as the third Mexican destination Volaris serves at MIA. Mexico is MIA's second-busiest international market with 1.6 million travelers annually. Volaris El Salvador, a subsidiary of Volaris, also serves San Salvador and San Pedro Sula, Honduras at MIA.
Congratulations to Volaris on launching their new Monterrey flights and their continued expansion of service at MIA. Thanks to their growing presence in Miami-Dade County, our residents now have even more flight options to Mexico.
