"Small businesses are the backbone of Iowa's economy, and today's roundtable made clear that the Working Families Tax Cuts are already delivering for them," said Rep. Nunn . During the roundtable, Rep. Nunn highlighted how several provisions of the Working Families Tax Cuts are benefiting Iowa's nearly 290,000 small businesses, including:
For Iowa families, the Working Families Tax Cuts provide an average tax savings of $3,139 this year, according to the Tax Foundation. Key provisions include a permanently expanded $31,500 standard deduction for married couples, a $2,200 Child Tax Credit per child, and a new $6,000 deduction for seniors. The average tax refund is already running 11% higher in 2026 than in 2025.
