Weekend lane closures on eastbound I-64 in St. Clair County

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS - The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced weekend lane closures on eastbound Interstate 64 between Illinois 159 and Illinois 157 in St. Clair County.

Beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday, April 18, traffic will be reduced from three lanes to one lane for sign installation. Two lanes are expected to reopen by 7 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
