Gleneagles Hospital partners with Medtronic India to establish specialized advanced hypertension management centre for Renal Denervation Therapy

Mumbai, 26 February 2026: Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, today announced a partnership with Gleneagles Hospital, Mumbai, to establish a specialized Renal Denervation therapy centre This collaboration hopes to address the growing challenge of uncontrolled hypertension and to encourage effective management uncontrolled hypertension.

Hypertension is a major cause of premature death worldwide¹ and has been a key contributor to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, globally as well as in India². One of the major gaps that physicians face is the lack of awareness amongst patients to control their high blood pressure, which is a significant cause for uncontrolled hypertension.

The Centre aims to raise awareness about the impact of high blood pressure and will play a key role in educating patients on uncontrolled hypertension, including lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and access to advanced treatment options such as renal denervation therapy.
