National Geographic TV host goes birding with Boise State raptor biology student

Raptor biology student Zoe Bonerbo with visiting speaker Christian Cooper.

Christian Cooper, host of National Geographic's documentary show Extraordinary Birder and author of "Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World," recently joined Boise State University Raptor Research Center's Master of Science in Raptor Biology student Zoe Bonerbo to go birding in the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Bonerbo is currently conducting her field research on nesting prairie falcons in the area and the birding excursion was highlighted by sightings of golden eagles as well as prairie falcons.

Cooper's visit was co-hosted by Boise State's The Idea of Nature lecture series and the Golden Eagle Audubon Society, and each program hosted him for talks during his time in Boise.
