Rep. Nancy Mace Issues Statement on SCOTUS Ruling Keeping Biological Men Out of Women's Sports

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 30, 2026) - Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) released the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled states may ban transgender girls and women from competing on female school athletic teams:

"Biological men have NEVER belonged in women's sports, and today the highest court in the land confirmed what we've been saying all along.

"For years, the radical Left told women to stay quiet while forcing men into their bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports to appease an ideology which denies basic biology. Today, they lost.

"We helped lead this fight, pushing legislation to protect women's spaces and stop men from taking what women have worked so hard to earn.

"This is about fairness. It's about safety. It's about common sense. And today, the Supreme Court got it right.

"Putting on a sports bra does not make you a woman. It just makes you a man in a sports bra, and today's decision made it crystal clear: you have no business competing in women's sports.

"Today is a win for women and girls across America."
