Mayor Walsh Announces Road Reconstruction on South Townsend Street

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced a road reconstruction project on South Townsend Street from Erie Boulevard to Washington Street will be closed beginning on Wednesday, August 20. Curb improvement will begin on South Townsend Street from Erie Boulevard to Washington Street starting Wednesday, August 20 and then continue from Washington St to Fayette the following week. The road will be closed during construction from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with traffic detours in place. Public transit riders should check Centro.org for potential route adjustments. Milling and paving the road will follow the replacement of curbs.
