City Council will consider agreements related to housing and will recognize the efforts of local community groups

The City Council on Tuesday, April 14 will consider entering into an agreement with WISEPlace to provide long-term operation of two condominium homes for tenancy and occupancy by qualified very low-income households who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.

WISEPlace is an Orange County-based nonprofit that offers safe shelter, counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery and employment assistance to vulnerable individuals.

Council Members will also consider approving an agreement with Trumark Homes for work related to the potential purchase and development of City property identified as Site 3 in the Housing Element, a 22.8-acre undeveloped property located next to and southeast of the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center off Center Drive and east of Saddleback College.

During the presentation portion of the evening, the Council will recognize the notable contributions to the community of Mission Viejo Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge #2444 and Love Mission Viejo.

The business portion of the meeting begins at 6 pm at 200 Civic Center. Meetings are streamed live on the City's website and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.
