e-Waste management for sustainable eCooking in Tanzania

Abstract

This study reviewed international best practices and standards for e-waste management to assess their applicability in enhancing Tanzania's regulatory framework on e-waste management. It examined the potential impact of eCooking appliances on e-waste generation, proposed infrastructure development for e-waste management as well as integrated 7 policy recommendations that address both e-waste and clean cooking to ensure sustainable transition.

This research is part of the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) programme.
