Acura notched their fourth-consecutive pole position of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, with Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian's Tom Blomqvist going P1 in his #60 Acura ARX-06.
This is the first pole position of the year for Blomqvist and teammate Colin Braun as they seek a return to victory lane for the second time this season. The #60 squad scored the win in the previous six-hour race this year, Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International. The duo will be looking to repeat the feat in Sunday's six-hour race in Indianapolis.
The sister #93 Acura ARX-06 qualified sixth fastest in the hands of Nick Yelloly. Yelloly and teammate Renger van der Zande scored a hat trick of pole positions in the previous three races, starting from the front at Road America (Yelloly), Watkins Glen (van der Zande) and the Detroit Grand Prix (Yelloly), scoring their first win of the year so far in Detroit.
Yelloly and van der Zande will be joined by Honda Racing Corporation development driver Kaku Ohta aboard the #93 ARX-06. This is Kaku's third race in the Acura, following turns at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and at Watkins Glen.
With two races remaining, Acura entered the weekend 45 points behind in the manufacturers' title hunt. Today's pole position from the Acura MSR team narrows that gap to just 40.

Quotes
Tom Blomqvist (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Qualified 1st: "Fantastic job to the entire team. Pole position is always nice to have and it's very rewarding for the guys who put in the effort to try and give us a fast car. It's proof that we have a fast car and I'm thankful for that. I was a little bit stressed in that session, just where I was on track and it wasn't the cleanest; but hey, a pole is a pole and we have to be happy with that. Tomorrow is where we earn the big bucks. We're in a good position to start and then it's game on from there."
Nick Yelloly (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Qualified 6th: "Sixth is not where we wanted to be considering where the other car is. I felt like I maximized most of it, I probably had a couple of tenths, but that was it. I need to go back and look at the data to see why that was and share a bit of data with the #60 Acura and see which direction they went. Very happy for Acura and Acura Meyer Shank Racing to get another pole, that's four in a row for the manufacturer which is great. We'll make sure we dial in the race car for tomorrow, that's where the big points are."
