The number of people below the recommended screening age for colorectal cancer has increased over the years. Thomas Kelly, M.D., a gastroenterologist and member of the Gastrointestinal and Neuroendocrine Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, provided insight into the age breakdown of diagnoses and discussed risk factors that may explain why diagnoses occur at younger ages than in the past.
