SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix Acura Message Points

Acura at Road America

  • Acura is looking for their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory at Road America since the introduction of the GTP class in 2023.
  • Acura's last victory at America's National Park of Speed came in 2022 with the Acura ARX-05 in the hands of Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque. Taylor had previously won with Acura at Road America in 2020 with then co-driver Helio Castroneves.
  • Last year-and in 2024-Acura would see their cars start on pole and finish third in the two-hour and 40-minute Road America event.
  • This year, the SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America is lengthened to a six-hour endurance race in which Acura will field two hybrid-powered Acura ARX-06 machines with Acura Meyer Shank Racing.
  • The #60 will be piloted the 2023 second-place finishing duo at Road America, Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun.
  • The sister #93 will be driven by Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly-fresh off of a podium finish at another six-hour event, this time at Watkins Glen.
  • Yelloly and van der Zande claimed pole and third place at Road America last year.
  • The #93 team is a race winner already this season, taking victory in the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
  • Acura's first win at Road America came in 1993, when Parker Johnstone and Dan Marvin claimed the Camel Lights class win in their Comptech Racing Acura Spice SE92P. Additional victories followed in American Le Mans Series competition in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013 in the LMP2 category; and overall/LMP1 in both 2009 and 2013.
