OLEAN, NY - The Olean General Hospital Foundation's (OGHF) Fourth Annual Pulse of the Community Gala brought together more than 215 community members, physicians, nurses, board members and supporters on Friday, October 2 at the Holiday Valley Main Lodge, raising more than $100,000 to support imaging services at Olean General Hospital (OGH).

The black-tie event achieved record attendance in the event's four-year history. Proceeds will support continued investment in imaging technology and services, helping patients across the region access high-quality care close to home.

"This year's gala was a powerful reflection of the generosity and commitment of the communities we serve," said Steve Jackson, president, OGHF. "The support demonstrated throughout the evening will help advance our imaging services and strengthen our ability to provide exceptional care for patients and families throughout the region."

A new giving activation at this year's event was the introduction of an interactive, 4-by-8-foot puzzle designed to demonstrate the collective impact of community giving. Centered on the theme of "putting the pieces together," the activity invited guests to participate in building support for the continued advancement of imaging services at Olean General Hospital. The initiative generated an additional $10,000 during the evening.

"Working with leadership to understand the impact that imaging services has on patient care made it clear that this was the right focus for our gala," added Jackson. "Imaging is essential across nearly every area of healthcare, from emergency care and women's health to surgery and cardiology. As one of our most widely used services, imaging relies on sophisticated equipment that requires significant investment to maintain and replace."

The event began at 5:30 p.m. and featured an evening of entertainment with live music from Big City Horns and master of ceremonies, Gary Nease, the voice of the Bonnies, an array of hors d'oeuvres, special recognition of the Golden Stethoscope and Nightingale Award recipients and a strolling agenda with opportunities for guests to connect with colleagues, friends and community partners.

Guests who attended also received an entry into a diamond necklace giveaway made possible through the generosity of ASK Design Jewelers. The $10,000 necklace was awarded to Robyn Bowser.

"It's important to recognize that Olean General Hospital and the community we serve depend on one another," said Bradley J. Chapman, president, OGH. "From our physicians, nurses and staff to our volunteers, patients, families, community partners and generous supporters, every person plays a vital role in strengthening local healthcare and ensuring it's future."

The success of the Fourth Annual Pulse of the Community Gala showcases the important role community philanthropy plays in advancing healthcare throughout the Southern Tier. Funds raised will help Olean General Hospital continue investing in imaging technology and services that support diagnosis, treatment planning and patient care. Through the generosity of its donors and community partners, the Olean General Hospital Foundation continues to support the hospital's mission of providing high-quality health care to the communities it serves.

A special thank you to this year's sponsors for their support in making the event a huge success: Cutco, Nephrology Services Medical Group of Olean and Bradford, PC, Howard Hanna Professionals, SolEpoxy, Inc., Delphi Healthcare, Holiday Valley, Napoleon Engineering Services, Worth W.
