Edvinas Grikšas is participating in the Davos Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Paris

Today, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation, Edvinas Grikšas, is representing Lithuania at the Adopt AI Summit, a conference on artificial intelligence (AI) in Paris, France. During the conference, E. Grikšas will also meet with potential investors operating in the fields of space, defence, and security.

'The development of AI is particularly important for Lithuania - it increases business competitiveness, helps to modernise public services, and enables us to adapt more quickly to global technological changes. Now, as Lithuania takes the ambitious step of creating the €130 million LitAI artificial intelligence centre, it is crucial for us to strengthen our position as a leader in this sector. Participation in Davos provides an opportunity to demonstrate the rapid growth of the AI ecosystem in Lithuania and the country's ability to offer one of the most competitive investment environments in the region," says E. Grikšas.

The conference will discuss the transformation of AI in various industrial and service sectors and national economies. This world-class event will bring together ministers from the EU and other countries who are responsible for innovation, technology and digitalisation, as well as leaders from DI and technology companies, and from the worlds of science and business.

During the visit, it is also planned that an agreement will be signed between the French Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs (DINUM) and the Lithuanian State Digital Solutions Agency (VSSA). This agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in AI-related research and experimental development, as well as improving the effectiveness of AI models in national languages. According to the minister, this agreement is important because it enables both countries to accelerate the development of advanced AI solutions, share experience, and establish a stronger technological foundation for future innovation.

With more than 20,000 representatives and 500 international speakers in attendance, including leaders of corporations, leading AI start-ups, and research institutions from sectors such as energy, transport, automotive, banking, and life sciences, the Adopt AI Summit is a major event in the AI calendar.
