President: The Weapon Any Aggressor Truly Fears Is Unity

What Ukraine needs right now is unity, coordination with partners, and support for the PURL initiative and SAFE instrument. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his online participation in the Warsaw Security Forum.

"The number one weapon any aggressor truly fears - in this case, Russia and Putin - is, for sure, unity. I believe that is our strongest weapon. Even though they tried to use certain representatives, even on the European continent, to drive a wedge - to undermine European unity and even split the EU itself - Russia failed to divide most countries. That is why we are strong, and that's why Ukraine has such support," the Head of State said.

The President also emphasized that unity must go hand in hand with clear coordination of actions. As an example, Volodymyr Zelenskyy recalled the Russian drone attack on Poland on the night of September 10. According to him, 92 drones were heading toward Poland.

"Our Air Force shot down everything they could, and that is a fact. And you know that 19 made it into Polish airspace. Had we acted in a more coordinated way, I believe we would have achieved an even greater result," the Head of State stressed.

Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the PURL initiative, which enables Ukraine to buy American air defense systems and missiles. Six countries have already joined, and Ukraine expects others - including Poland - to take part.

In addition, the President stressed the importance of cooperation, especially within the SAFE instrument, where Ukraine is ready to work together, particularly on air defense.

"For example, today Ukraine has interceptor drones, which are a technological breakthrough. Interceptor drones are the answer for defending the skies and countering any aerial targets - meaning other drones. We need additional funding for this," the Head of State said.
