Most City Departments Closed on Monday, May 25

The City of Cedar Rapids will observe the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25. Most City departments will be closed for the day. Impacted city departments are as follows:
  • Animal Care & Control - Administrative offices will be closed. If you have an animal emergency, please call CRPD Dispatch at 319-286-5491.
  • City Manager's Office - Administrative offices will be closed.
  • Fire Department - Emergency response services will remain available.
  • Golf - Administrative offices will be closed. Gardner, Ellis, Twin Pines, and Mini Pines Miniature Golf courses will remain open.
  • Joint Communications Center - Emergency services will continue.
  • Library - Both library locations will be closed Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25.
  • Noelridge Aquatic Center - Open Saturday-Monday, May 23-25, Lap Swim 11:15 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., Open Swim 1 - 5 p.m.
  • Old MacDonald's Farm - Open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Police Department - Administrative offices will be closed. Emergency response services will be available. Non-emergency calls can be made to 319-286-5491.
  • Solid Waste & Recycling - No collection. Garbage, yard waste, and recycling will be collected one day later. If your collection day is Friday, it will be picked up on Saturday.
  • Transit - No service on Monday, May 25.
  • Utilities - all utilities will remain in service (Solid Waste & Recycling services delayed one day starting Monday, May 25).
