October 15, 2026 - GRAMMY-nominated British multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ and singer-songwriter Elderbrook announces his fourth studio album, Heart on a Wire, due January 22, 2027 via Counter Records (a Ninja Tune label). The ten-track album, featuring collaborations with UK artists Rules and Tourist, finds Elderbrook pushing his sound into more alternative, song-driven territory, placing his voice and songwriting at the forefront while retaining the atmospheric electronic production that has defined his work.
"Making Heart on a Wire felt like reconnecting with the instincts that first drew me to music," Elderbrook shares. "I wanted to approach the album more from an indie music point of view, following ideas wherever they led and letting the songs take shape naturally. That process helped me make a record that feels genuinely true to who I am as a musician."
"Heart on a Wire is an incredibly moving record," says Marie Clausen, Managing Director, North America at Ninja Tune. "Elderbrook is an exceptional artist with a rare ability to connect with audiences through his music. We're thrilled to welcome him to the label and look forward to what's ahead."
The album includes new single "Lost in the View," written during Elderbrook's move from the U.K. to Los Angeles. The song captures a sense of renewal, using imagery of ocean tides, distance and finding home to evoke the feeling of moving forward and opening yourself back up to a new life.

Four years in the making, Heart on a Wire traces its beginnings to an unexpected moment at an art festival near Miami in late 2022, when Elderbrook overheard a stranger talking about wanting to reconnect with a more childlike version of herself. The idea stayed with him long after the festival, eventually inspiring an album that explores the curiosity and openness we experience the world with when we're young, and what it means to rediscover that perspective as we grow older.
That search runs throughout the album, from " Staring at the Sun ," a collaboration with Rules about reconnecting with a younger version of yourself, to " Never Get Enough ," which explores the desire to recapture a feeling that once made life seem electric. At the album's emotional center is the title track, where Elderbrook uses the image of a heart on a wire to explore the vulnerability of moving through the world completely open to what comes next. The album's visual identity follows that same spirit, with artwork designed by creative director Charlie Drinkwater, whose previous work includes campaigns for artists including Porter Robinson, Fontaines D.C., James Arthur, and Dermot Kennedy.
Heart On A Wire comes on the heels of a major resurgence for Elderbrook's music, with his work continuing to break into unexpected corners of popular culture. Most recently, his 2021 collaboration with Bob Moses, "Inner Light," became the centerpiece of a major moment when it was featured in the closing moments of the extended Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, sparking a surge in renewed interest nearly five years after its original release. Following the trailer's release, "Inner Light" hit #1 on Shazam's U.S. Top 200 and Global Viral Chart, while streams grew by more than 1,000% and the track's YouTube video garnered an additional 6.58 million views over 30 days. Elderbrook spoke with Complex and Newsweek about the moment and the story behind the song.
Since breaking through with his GRAMMY-nominated collaboration "Cola" with CamelPhat in 2017, Elderbrook has built a career that moves between electronic, indie and pop, with more than 2 billion global streams to his name and tours alongside ODESZA, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Jungle. He has released three studio albums, Why Do We Shake in the Cold? (2020), Little Love (2023) and Another Touch (2024), and collaborated with artists including Diplo, Black Coffee, ZHU, Vintage Culture, John Summit, Rudimental and Clean Bandit. His live performances have taken him to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre and Central Park's SummerStage, as well as festivals including Coachella, EDC, Bonnaroo and Ultra.
